Barnsley pair quizzed over armed robbery

A Barnsley man and woman have been arrested over an armed robbery in which a woman was tied up in her own home.

The 50-year-old man and 47-year-old woman were quizzed on suspicion of robbery before being released on bail.

A 62-year-old woman from Shirley Common, near Ashbourne, Derbyshire, was threatened by three men armed with a crowbar who tied her up before ransacking her home.

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the robbery, which occurred at 8pm on Saturday, October 17.
