Arsonists have wreaked havoc in South Yorkshire - torching vehicles, hay, rubbish and seating in a children’s play ground.
Yesterday morning firefighters alerted to a blaze on Potters Gate, High Green, Sheffield, found a Ford Mondeo alight in a communal car park.
The night before crews called out to White Lane, Gleadless, Sheffield, found 10 bales of hay engulfed in flames.
They were also called to Cundy Cars on Grange Lane, Cundy, Barnsley, to find a Mercedes estate burning on the forecourt.
A Peugeot was also badly damaged in another arson attack on Red Hill, Kiveton, Park, Rotherham, on Sunday night.
A pile of wood from a dismantled shed was torched on City Road, Sheffield, at 9pm on Saturday and earlier that day crews in Doncaster dealt with a Volvo set alight on Low Lane, Braithwaite and a vehicle found burning on Top Lane, Kirk Bramwith.
In the early hours of Saturday a Ford Fiesta van was set alight on Denton Street, Barnsley; a Renault Clio was torched on Deer Park Road, Stannington, Sheffield and a vehicle was found burning on Bank Street, Mexborough, Doncaster.
At around midnight on Friday, firefighters were sent to a play area on Sheep Bridge Lane, Rossington, Doncaster, after some seating was set alight.
A Volkswagen Transporter parked on Richard Street, Barnsley, was also torched along with a pile of rubbish on Oak Road, Wath-upon-Dearne.
Each arson attack was reported to South Yorkshire Police.
