Arsonist jailed after blaze

Richard Musgrove'A man who set fire to a house while he was inside it has been jailed for three years. ' 'Richard Musgrove, 32, started the fire in the bedroom of his partner's house on Wilson Street, Dronfield on May 8, 2011. ''He called the fire service when the blaze began to get out of hand and when fire fighters arrived he was inside the property suffering the effects of smoke inhalation. ''The fire, which damaged most of the first floor of the house, was started when clothing was set alight. ''Musgrove, of Larpit Green, Whitwell was arrested and charged with arson.''He pleaded guilty to the offence and was jailed for three years at a hearing at Derby Crown Court on Friday, January 20.

A MAN who set fire to his house while inside has been jailed for three years.

Richard Musgrove started the blaze in the bedroom of his partner’s house on Wilson Street, Dronfield, in May last year.

The 32-year-old called the fire service when the blaze began to get out of hand.

When firefighters arrived, he was found inside the property suffering the effects of smoke inhalation.

The fire, which damaged most of the first floor of the house, was started when clothing was set alight.

Musgrove, of Larpit Green, Whitwell admitted arson.

He was jailed at a hearing at Derby Crown Court.
