Arrests over phone ‘fraud’

A POLICE probe into an alleged £3 million mobile phone fraud will see seven South Yorkshire suspects in court tomorrow.

Four men and one woman from Rotherham, a man from Doncaster and a woman from Sheffield have been charged with offences relating to the alleged hijacking of customers’ accounts with telecommunication providers, including Vodafone.

A man from London is also charged over the alleged scam.

The suspects, all aged between 22 and 45, are due to appear at City of London Magistrates Court.
