Armed robbery report sees police called to Rotherham

A report of an armed robbery saw police called to a South Yorkshire convenience store this afternoon.

An offender entered Beevers Newsagent in Badsley Moore Lane, Rotherham, at about 2pm with their face covered.

A female worker raised the alarm before the offender fled to the Herringthorpe area.

Police said no-one was hurt and nothing was taken.
