Police have issued an electronically generated image of a suspect in their ongoing hunt for robbers who held up a bank.

The British Bank Association is offering a £15,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the offenders, and the Royal Bank of Scotland is offering another £10,000, following the raid in Hathersage seven weeks ago.

Staff were ‘threatened and left terrified’ during a hold-up at the village’s Bank of Scotland branch on Thursday, February 20, in which an armed gang stole ‘a substantial amount of cash’.

Detectives have now released an Evo-Fit of one of the suspects they want to trace.

A Derbyshire Police spokesman said: “Staff were threatened and left terrified and a substantial amount of money was stolen. The men left the bank via the main entrance at 9.05am and made off along Main Road.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
