Police are appealing for help to identify three Doncaster teenagers who are believed to be have been involved in an assault that left a 47-year-old man with serious facial injuries. 
At around 8.20pm on Friday, April 24, the man was walking around the lake at Lakeside, off Stadium Way, Doncaster.

A teenage boy is alleged to have assaulted the man, punching him to the ground and subjecting him to a further assault.

The teenager is believed to have been in a group with two teenage girls and another teenage boy.

He was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries but has since been released.

It is also alleged that the group were setting fire to grass near to Lakeside prior to the assault.

Police have now issued e-fit images of three teenagers they would like to identify in connection with the incident.

Detective Constable Claire McConnell said: “This was an unprovoked and violent attack on a man out for an evening stroll.

She continued: “It’s lucky that the man’s injuries were not more severe, but it’s vital we trace the individuals involved.

“I’d urge anyone with information to come forward and help our enquiries.”
