Creative kids capture soccer skills on film

FOOTBALL isn't the only thing going on at Hillsborough these days!

These youngsters turned video analysts for the day after taking part in a masterclass at Sheffield Wednesday's Study Support Centre.

The centre teamed up with national education programme Aimhigher to hold a day of learning aimed at encouraging young people into higher education.

And Year 9 and 10 boys from five Sheffield schools - Wisewood, Myers Grove, Birley, Chaucer and Meadowhead - spent a day at the club becoming video experts.

The youngsters visited the training ground where they took part in a 90-minute fitness session while also snapping photographs, capturing footage and taking notes.

Then it was back to the Study Support Centre to create visual coaching manuals on improving football skills.

Co-ordinator Mike Taylor said: "The kids had a great time learning how to use the video software."
