Crackdown on speed danger
SPEEDING motorists have been fined or sent to court after police in Barnsley launched a crackdown.
Following concerns raised by residents officers carried out speed checks on Brierley Road and Common Road in Brierley, Thurnscoe Lane in Great Houghton, Darfield Road and Pontefract Road in Cudworth and Dog Hill at Shafton.
Three drivers have been sent to court, six were fined and 18 were given advice about their driving.
