A NEW type of mess has caused problems in a Sheffield park where there had been complaints about dog dirt.
It is believed escaped cows may be responsible for the problems, in Greenhill Park, Lowedges.
Stephen Rich, of Greenhill and Bradway Tenants’ and Residents’ Association, received complaints from a resident.
He said: “I had a lady contact me about cow pats in the park all over but mainly near the bridge over the stream at the back of the bowling area.
“I went to have a look and there was cows’ mess on the grass and on the paths.”
He added: “I think the cows may have come down from the nearby hill and wandered over the bridge into the park.”
