The following were convicted at Doncaster, Sheffield and Rotherham magistrates’ courts between Thursday September 10 and Monday, September 21.

Doncaster

All addresses are Doncaster unless otherwise stated.

Benefit fraud: John Woodruff, 61, of Woodlands Way, Denaby Main, pleaded guilty to failing to inform the Department for Work and Pensions of a change in circumstances affecting his income support entitlement. Curfew order made for 13 weeks between the hours of 9.30pm and 7.30am.

Assault: Zbigniew Gwizda, 48, of Central Boulevard, Wheatley Hills, pleaded guilty to assault by beating on August 30. Victim surcharge £60, costs £85, criminal courts charge £150;

Drug possession: Jamie Liam Smith, 27, of Patrick Street, Grimsby, pleaded guilty to possession of 107 milligrams of Class A controlled drug cocaine in Doncaster on May 25. Fined £100, victim surcharge £20, costs £85, forfeiture and destruction of drugs.

Theft: Kurt Marshall, 36, of Cromwell Road, Mexborough pleaded guilty to stealing two Yankee candles to the value of £41 belonging to Paper Kisses, High Street, Mexborough, theft of Guchi Guilty aftershave to the value of £63 from Ben Suttie, theft of a £10 CD case belonging to Lauren Rhodes, and interfering with a Ford Ka. Jailed for 12 weeks.

Drunk and disorderly: John Stephen Watson, 40, of Ashdown Place, Scawthorpe, pleaded guilty to drunk and disorderly behaviour in Silver Street, Doncaster on September 18. Discharged conditionally for 12 months, victim surcharge £15, criminal courts charge £150.

Theft: David Hassall, 42, of King Georges Road in Rossington pleaded guilty to numerous offences of theft of alcohol from local supermarkets, and assault by beating. Jailed for 16 weeks.

Assault: Craig Michael Hodson, 29, of Chalmers Drive, pleaded guilty to assault by beating on August 15 in Doncaster. Community order to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work within 12 months, victim surcharge £60, costs £85, criminal courts charge £150.

Theft: Liam Cumber, 22, of Tudor Road, Intake, pleaded guilty to theft of £800 of plastic screening, fibre optics and leather covering, also a £200 and £300 DVD player, and also to trespass. Suspended 16 weeks jail sentence for 12 months, compensation £1,000, criminal courts charge £180.

Benefit fraud: Peter Wood, 62, of Rostholme Square in Bentley pleaded guilty to making a false statement with regards to benefit claims. Fined £250, victim surcharge £25, costs £100.

Drug possession: Sean Jones, 26, of Wells Road, Wheatley Park, pleaded guilty to possession of the Class C controlled drug diazepam, and also a breach of the peace in Doncaster on September 21. Costs £85, criminal courts charge £180, benefit deduction £280, forfeit and destruction of drugs.

Theft: Kim Louise Ricouard, 34, of Clifton Court, Thorne, pleaded guilty to theft of Joop perfume from Debenhams, two beef joints worth £22 from Marks & Spencer and a £16.99 Yankee candle from Boots. Jailed for seven days, criminal courts charge £150.

Theft: Darren James Kenny, 47, of Auckland Road, pleaded guilty to stealing £12.18 worth of food items from Sainsbury’s. Community order to carry out 60 hours unpaid work within 12 months, victim surcharge £60, costs £85, criminal courts charge £150.

Anti-social behaviour: Matthew Brett Collins of Athelstain Road, Conisbrough, pleaded guilty to causing a nuisance by emission of loud noise at Micklebring Grove on March 21. Suspended eight weeks prison sentence for 12 months, £300 compensation, victim surcharge of £80, costs £300.

Theft: Jonathan Peate, 23, of The Park, Woodlands, pleaded guilty to stealing £50 worth petrol and a Subara motor vehicle on August 31 in Doncaster, the car then being involved in an accident, and also driving without insurance. Curfew of 56 days between 9am and 7am, victim surcharge £60, costs £85, criminal courts charge £150, disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Driving without licence: Brian North, 52, of Airstone Road, Askern, pleaded guilty to drivging a Citoren Xsara in Doncaster on July 14 without holding a driving licence. Twelve month conditional discharge, victim surcharge £15, costs £85, criminal courts charge £150, disqualified from holding a driving licence for 28 days.

Drug possession: Steven Michael Purdy, 31, of Larchfield Road, Balby, pleaded guilty to possessopn pf cannabis. Suspended 20 weeks prison sentence for 21 months, victim surcharge £80, costs £85, criminal courts charge £180

Rotherham

Driving without insurance: Kieran Whitehead, 25, of Alldred Crescent, Swinton, proved in absence, driving without insurance on October 17, 2014 at Wath. Fined £60, victim surcharge £60, costs £85, disqualified from driving for six months.

Sheffield

All addresses are Sheffield unless otherwise stated.

Drug possession: Adam Zamzami, 29, of Firth Park Road, pleaded guilty to cannabis possession on Sunday April 26. Fined £50, £20 victim surcharge, £180 criminal courts charge, cannabis to be forfeited.

Driving without insurance: Easton Mark Bailey, 35, of Greengate Court pleaded not guilty (matter proved in his absence) to driving a Ford Mondeo on October 25, 2014, in Handsworth without insurance. Fined £600, victim surcharge £60, costs £150, licence endorsed with six points.

Criminal damage: Dane William Whiteley, 20, of Underwood Road pleaded guilty to destroying a main entrance door to the value of £500 belonging to Base Apartments. He was given a 30 day community order, £100 compensation, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge.

Theft: Daley Bodell, 33, of Morland Road, Gleadless Valley, pleaded guilty to stealing four cans of Foster’s lager to the value of £3.50, £31.50 worth of meat and £8 worth of chocolate from Sainsbury’s. He received a nine month drug rehabilitation order, and must pay £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge;

Drink driving: Daniel Campbell, 42, of Harrison Road, Malin Bridge pleaded guilty to driving whilst nearly three times over the limit. Police recorded he had 103 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit being 35. He received a community order to complete 50 hours of unpaid work, and must pay £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge;

Assault: Jordan Bower, 21, of Dugdale Road, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Conditional discharge for 12 months, £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge.

Drunken disorderly: Ricky Thomas Lambert pleaded guilty to drunken and disorderly behaviour in Sheffield on April 4. Six month conditional discharge, £15 victim surchjarge, costs £85.
