A COUPLE who moved from Cheshire to run a Doncaster pub will be picking up an award next month.
Carl and Donna Roberts took over The Beverley Inn on Thorne Road, Edenthorpe, five years ago after years of experience in the hotel industry.
The pub and hotel has just been named the autumn pub of the season by members of the Doncaster Campaign for Real Ale.
CAMRA spokesman Tom Causer said: “They remain committed to providing real ales and have increased the two pumps and now regularly serve for real ales from many varied breweries and are always kept in tip-top condition.
“The large beer garden is also a great place to sample the ales on a summer’s day.”
The Beverley Inn also has 14 rooms which are popular with contractors and people flying from Robin Hood Airport.
The award and banner will be presented to Mr and Mrs Roberts and their staff on Tuesday, October 23, at 9pm.
