TWO grandparents have been evicted from their Sheffield home after they allowed drugs and a stun gun to be stashed at the property.
David Walker, aged 62, and his wife Karen, 58, were ordered to leave the Wybourn house after a judge at Sheffield County Court granted an immediate possession order.
Housing association Great Places took action after months of work by its anti-social behaviour team and police.
Officers found the stun gun and drugs when warrants were executed between February 2009 and March 2011.
Great Places, which manages about 1,800 houses in Sheffield, said it spent months liaising with the family to try to rectify the situation.
Despite repeated warnings given to the couple that they were in breach of their tenancy agreement, the situation did not improve.
Stephen Porter, Great Places chief executive, said: “It is regrettable the situation has reached this point but at the forefront of our mind has to be the welfare of the residents of Wybourn.”
