MATT Watson is counting down to a mammoth fundraising challenge which he has dubbed the Five, Four, Three, Two, One!

Matt, from High Storrs, hopes to raise at least £300 for Sheffield Children’s Hospital by running a series of races before September.

The challenge consists of five 5k races, four half marathons, three 10ks, two South Yorkshire five-mile road races and, finally, one London Marathon – a total distance of 200km.

The Totley Athletics Club member starts the challenge on Sunday with the East Hull 20-mile road race.

He finishes his six-month stint with the Nottingham Robin Hood Half Marathon on September 11.

Matt, whose sister is a senior radiographer at the hospital, said: “I hear a lot about the hospital through my sister and friends and I find the work they do truly valuable and inspirational.”
