Academics from The University of Sheffield are swapping study books for climbing boots for a fundraising feat.
The team of five researchers, led by Professor Matthew Holley, will tackle the 842 steps of London’s BT Tower on Friday, October 25 in a show of support for Action on Hearing Loss.
Cash raised from the climb will fund pioneering projects that transform the lives of deaf and hard of hearing people.
Prof Holley said: “Hearing research in The University of Sheffield benefits from funds raised by Action on Hearing Loss and many of our discoveries have been a direct result of this funding. We wanted to do something to show our appreciation.”
