Triple awards success for top Sheffield academics

Three Sheffield University academics have been honoured for the impact of their research at a national awards ceremony.

Geographer Hannah Lambie-Mumford was awarded the Outstanding Early Career Impact Prize at the Economic and Social Research Council’s Celebrating Impact Awards 2014.

Sociologist Dr Lorna Warren was runner up for the Outstanding Impact in Society prize, while law lecturer Professor Stephen Farrall was runner up in the Outstanding Impact in Public Policy category.

Groundbreaking research by Ms Lambie-Mumford has provided policy makers and the charitable sector with evidence to inform the food poverty debate.

Dr Warren led a pioneering project on women and ageing with Sheffield volunteers.
