Parents have made special book sacks as part of a project helping their children to read.

Families with youngsters at Sheffield’s Meersbrook Bank Primary School embroidered the bags – themed around a different book – and filled them with resources in a family learning course.

Teacher Gemma Collins said: “Parents all really enjoyed making the sacks and the children enjoyed seeing them working in school.”
