A TEENAGER from Sheffield was presented with a top equestrian award at the London International Horse Show.
Katie Midgley, a former pupil at Sheffield High School, was presented with a Gold Young Equestrian Leader Award at Olympia by Ben Maher, international showjumper and member of the British Olympic gold medal winning team.
Katie became involved in volunteering following the setting up of a school equestrian team and hopes to continue promoting the scheme in future. She is now studying international equine and agricultural management at the Royal Agricultural College.
Katie and five other award winners were invited to Olympia, and all were treated to VIP hospitality.
