Hundreds of students devoted a full day to helping out good causes in Sheffield.
More than 300 people studying at Sheffield University gave a total of 1,429 hours to charity as part of the 24-hour volunteering event.
Activities included a scavenger challenge in which students rifled through shops in Sheffield for the homeless people supported by the Cathedral Archer Project. The day was designed to showcase volunteering opportunities on offer in the city.
Sam Cook, from the Cathedral Archer Project, said: “You could tell the students were genuinely interested in helping their community.”
