THERE are 100 reasons to celebrate at one of Doncaster’s primary schools.
Bentley New Village turned 100 years old yesterday, giving its current generation of pupils the chance to look back at their own history.
To mark the anniversary, pupils gathered together to pose for a picture, joining forces to form a giant 100 in their playground, and attended a celebratory church service.
Staff say they will be having a birthday party later in the year to celebrate the landmark. A spokesman said: “We plan to celebrate our birthday in the summer with a big fun day, but we couldn’t let the actual day go by without doing anything.”
