LABOUR leader and Doncaster North MP Ed Miliband has poured praise on a school in his constituency, recently named one of Britain’s best.
Mr Miliband visited Bentley High Street Primary to meet with staff and pupils, after the school was listed in the Sunday Times Schools Guide as the fourth best primary in Yorkshire and the North East.
The MP also held a question and answer session with Year 6 pupils.
He said: “I was extremely impressed by the commitment of the staff and the children.
“It’s testament to their hard work that parents are so keen to have their children educated at the school.
“It deserves its place in the guide.”
Some of the school’s pupils visited the Houses of Parliament in November, prompting Mr Miliband’s visit.
