SEVEN months ago their school was damaged in an arson attack.

But today, these Doncaster youngsters are able to return to their newly refurbished reception classroom which was damaged in the incident at Windhill Primary School, Mexborough.

The school also now has an additional covered outdoor play area.

The arson attack on the school left smoke damage to the reception classroom, along with cracked windows, and materials including pupils’ work were lost.

The chief executive of Doncaster Council, Jo Miller, visited the school to officially open the newly refurbished block.
