Awards handed out at Doncaster College

DONCASTER College staff and students are celebrating with honours.

Students Nathan Alick and Amy Walker, and college staff member Angie Beasley, all featured in the Young Peoples Awards and The Pride of Doncaster Awards.

Amy and Nathan were nominated for their contribution to college life, the help they have given to others and for overcoming difficulty.

Angie, meanwhile, has worked part-time for the college for four years and is a counsellor tutor.

She won the Council Worker of the Year Award presented by Jo Miller, Chief Executive of Doncaster Council.

Angie set up a counselling service in the community called Tulip, which supports parents and children who strive to come to terms with terminal illness.
