ThE council election has been suggested as a walkover for Labour but I suspect a few in their number face anxious weeks before votes are cast.
Their big hitters, Harpham, Weldon, Price, Bramall, Hussain, Rooney are among those facing the potential chop as well as Lib Dems’ big team of Clement-Jones, Sangar, Auckland and Baker.
Whoever wins, the council make up could be much different and not for the worse. Between them they’ve overseen many dubious decisions Maybe this is the perfect chance for people who suffered at their hands to get their own back. None of them opposed the cuts which are devastating public services. Vote with this in mind.
