PEOPLE contacted Doncaster Council on its FLAG hotline after rubbish was dumped on Sheepwash Lane, near Tickhill.

The council said the household waste included wooden chairs, table, door, paint tins, gardening items, a broken TV, empty drinks cans, CDs, cassettes and cardboard cartons and would have needed a van or a large trailer to get the load to the isolated spot in the countryside.

The council’s enforcement team visited the site before removing the rubbish and were able to identify that the rubbish came from a house in Worksop Road, Tickhill, as a substantial number of personal documents bearing the name and address of the householder had been dumped.

According to residents living nearby, incidents of fly tipping have been going on this area of Tickhill for at least the past 30 years.
