Loving Leo is hoping his horoscope is right – and that August is his month to find love.

The black and white Staffordshire terrier is looking for a new home.

He is aged eight and staff at Sheffield RSPCA – where Leo is waiting to be rehomed – say this mature, steady gentleman would make a fabulous companion.

Tony Benham, RSPCA Sheffield branch animal care manager, said: “Leo came to us with no known health issues and in good condition.

“Through no fault of his own, he could no longer be kept by his previous family.

“He will need a home where he is not left for too long on his own as he needs that loving attention to help him settle in, so we’d advise no more than two to three hours on his own at most.

“He’s a fabulous lad who loves being out and about with people and who interacts very well with them.

“If his new home has children, those over the age of five would be best suited.

“Leo loves playing with his toys and chews. He is a steady dog who isn’t easily disturbed by things.

“Leo has lived previously with two female dogs and a cat, which suggests he would be good with other animals.”
