Cost of abuse operations

Have your say

After reading in the Star last night, Tuesday, September 15, the headline “Abuse operation biggest ever”, I and many thousands of other readers will be saying, hold on it’s only last week that the police were saying in the Star that they are to challenge the protest marches over child sex abuse because of the costs in policing these protests.

Let’s be clear about this if the police, social services, Rotherham Council had put a stop to this in the first place then there wouldn’t be any protest marches, would there?

And the police force wouldn’t be having to make the cuts that they are making and I read that the bill could well exceed £7 million.

A very costly sum for the sake of not wanting to be seen as racist and I truly hope those guilty are brought to book.
