AN INNOVATIVE business based at South Yorkshire’s Advanced Manufacturing Park in Catcliffe has been chosen to showcase their work at this year’s Conservative Party conference.

Iceotope provides a new type of IT cooling system for companies, which uses less energy than conventional systems.

The firm’s representatives will be at the conference in Birmingham next month, having been selected as a finalist in the Start Up Competition run by the Tory party and supported by Fujitsu, Inmarsat and the British Venture Capital Association.

The final 12 budding entrepreneurs will showcase their business in front of delegates, national press, company representatives and senior Conservative politicians.

Peter Hopton, of Iceotope, said: “This is a great honour for Iceotope as it gives us a fantastic opportunity to showcase our technology to scores of influential people. We knew a diverse group of organisations would be selected in order to highlight the very best of UK innovation.

“We feel Iceotope has the potential to revolutionise the data centre industry as we know it, which is why we wanted to be included.”
