A Rotherham post office will close and move its services to a nearby convenience store.
Swinton Post Office on Station Street, Swinton, will close next month, transferring operations to the Spar store on the same road.
The new location will mean longer opening hours and access to Post Office services seven days a week.
Spar will host three serving points and open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, with selected services also available at retail counters from 6am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 6.30am to 8pm on Sundays.
The Post Office says this means an extra 65.5 hours of service a week compared to the former dedicated branch, which closes on April 23.
Spar’s Post Office will open the following day at 1pm.
Adrian Wales, Post Office regional network manager, said: “We understand how important Post Office services are to the people of Swinton and we are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”
“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and marks a commitment to no more branch closures.”
