I AGREE with the reader about the lack of public consultation regarding the termination of the 41 bus route.

I AGREE with the reader about the lack of public consultation regarding the termination of the 41 bus route.

I live in Birley and need to get to the bottom of the Moor for work. Previously I walked to the garage on Birley Moor Road to catch a 41 bus every 10 minutes. Now I have to catch a number 44 which only runs every 20 minutes. On Monday, the 8am bus didn’t turn up...not the first time!

Why do we need both First and Stagecoach number 120 on the same route to the Hallamshire and on to Fulwood? Why can’t the First bus continue on the 41 route via the bottom of the Moor and then proceed to Fulwood.

These changes are ridiculous and completely ignore the needs of the customer.

Fight to save our green belt

residents around Norton Aerodrome, particularly parents of children at Valley Park Junior School, should be aware of a planning application (11/01759/FUL) to use the site for green waste recycling.

Proposed activities will introduce daily (including weekends) heavy waste trucks accessing the site from Norton Avenue.

With the increased risk to children and the elderly crossing an already busy road, there will be increased noise and health risks from green waste composting.

The long term aim is to use the whole site for processing all of Sheffield’s green waste. The site is not suitable, especially as it’s in green belt and is close to homes and areas of scientific interest.
