A thief posing as a workman stole jewellery from a Sheffield pensioner.
The offender called at a house in Richmond Road, Handsworth, and asked to use the toilet.
He told the 72-year-old man who lives there that he was working on his driveway.
But South Yorkshire Police said that once inside the house he searched upstairs and stole some jewellery.
The culprit was around 35 years old, white, had short dark hair and was around being 5ft 6ins tall.
Forensic experts have examined the house looking for clues to help identify the thief, who struck at 9.30am on Thursday.
During another burglary on Monday night a number of purses were stolen from a property in Cotleigh Crescent, Hackenthorpe, Sheffield.
