Condolences: Robin Sisson

Robin Sisson, 51, died after being struck by a car as he walked to Sheffield train station.

He was a railway enthusiast who wrote for a specialist magazine published in the city.

The former teacher from Saltaire, who worked at Bradford Grammar School before turning his passion for railways into a career, was assistant editor of Today's Railways UK - a magazine based on Sark Road, Heeley.

Mr Sisson is said to have been instrumental in the reopening of Frizinghall railway station in Bradford and had campaigned for rail users' interests across the county and further afield.

He had worked in Sheffield at Today's Railways UK for two years.
