Emma Shipley had been sleeping on a mattress on her bedroom floor for more than a month when she contacted Action Desk for help.
Emma, of Norton Lees, got rid of her old bed on Thursday, March 5, in preparation for the delivery the following day.
However, only the bedside tables arrived, along with the dressing table and stool. After several weeks of visiting the Furniture Barn store on Guernsey Road, Heeley, and with the help of Action Desk, Emma finally received her bed at the end of April.
Furniture Barn said it would be in touch regarding possible compensation, but following the delivery Emma heard nothing.
Furniture Barn said that customer service staff had been struggling to get in contact with Emma.
But then came good news.
Emma said: “Just to update you, I have today received my cheque for compensation.
“Thanks for all of your help with this.”
