A FUNDRAISING dinner is taking place to help a Sheffield community initiative.
Friday’s function is the fourth time the event has been organised by Darnall Family Development Project. More than 50 local residents and supporters of the project will be feasting on a four-course menu, followed by a charity auction.
A small group made up of staff and committee members, inspired in 2007 through failure to get selected for a TV cookery show, organise the dinner to help raise funds for the project.
The initiative works with local families and, as well as receiving a grant from Big Lottery, still needs to fund raise towards cost of rent and project activities.
