Comic capers help appeal

Drinkers dressed as comic book superheroes to raise almost £400 for an armed forces charity.

Babylon, Carver Street, Sheffield city centre, which is owned and operated by Stonegate Pub Company, held the Super Hero themed weekend in aid of Help for Heroes.

Alan Armstrong, of Stonegate, said: “We’re delighted our bars raised such a fantastic amount in one weekend.

“The theme was truly embraced by customers and staff, and raised money for a worthy cause.”

Customers arriving in costume were encouraged to make donations and wear wristbands.
