I am replying to the letter from IDH in the June 11 edition.
My daughter and I completed the Race for Life and caught the 7.30am tram from Middlewood which was put on especially for race for life entrants. I thought we could travel for free but had to pay for a day saver for myself, costing £4 for me and 70p for my daughter.
However, on the way back the conductor (his name was Tom and he was a lovely chap) asked us why we had paid as all Race for Life entrants could travel for free – my daughter didn’t have to pay 70p for the return journey.
Did Supertram issue a communication to all their staff because by the looks of it some staff didn’t know?
Come on Supertram! Make a donation to Race for Life for the confusion to us runners.
