A new programme of creative classes for babies and toddlers is being launched in Sheffield.

The workshops have been developed by The Creation Station to enable parents to share, develop and discover with their child.

The new programme, called Colourful Creations, has been developed in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The fun and practical weekly classes provide a range of art and craft activities and include ideas and tips to continue the play ideas at home. The idea is to help nurture a child’s natural curiosity to develop a love of learning through shared creative fun.

Baby Discover classes are for babies aged five to 18 months and the Little Explorer classes are for toddlers aged 18 months to four years.

Jenny Seymour runs the Sheffield classes. She said: “Everyone thinks that January is a drab month, but not at the Creation Station. We bring a ray of sunshine to your lives by exploring yellow and other primary colours. I’m really excited about Colourful Creations launching and helping to develop children in our local area through a wonderful range of activities while at the same time supporting parents and carers in helping them to learn new skills to play with their child.”
