A South Yorkshire animal sanctuary has thanked members of the public after a recent collection raised more than £1,000.
A collection was held in aid of Thornberry Animal Sanctuary in North Anston, Rotherham.
It raised £1,037.23, money that will be used to support the work of the organisation.
A spokesman for the sanctuary said: “Staff and volunteers would like to say a huge thank you.
“We were overwhelmed by the generosity of all of the general public.”
