Club marks its first year
A CLUB for Darnall residents aged 50 and over will celebrate its first anniversary on Thursday.
The Over 50s Group, who meet at Darnall Community Centre on Darnall Road, is a community facility aimed at encouraging interaction.
Members enjoy informal meetings and chats as well as organised trips and visits from agencies including Age Concern and Darnall Wellbeing.
The anniversary celebrations are open to anyone in the community aged 50 or over.
Passers-by can drop in for a drink and a chat. The event runs from 9am until 11.45am and is free to attend.
