Clothes retailer Matalan have pledged to raise £30,000 over three years for the Children’s Hospital Make it Better campaign.

Stores across South Yorkshire have already raised £19,000 through fancy dress days, bucket collections, selling Children’s Hospital merchandise and taking part in the Theo Olympics, named after the Children’s Hospital’s mascot.

And, as they attempt to reach £30,000, Matalan will also be taking part in the campaign’s Make It Better day on Friday, June 28.

Paul Bell, manager of the store in Cortonwood, Barnsley, said: “Our customers have been amazing over the last year. So many people have a relationship with the hospital and the great work it does.

The Make it Better campaign is aiming to raise more than £20 million for the Children’s Hospital.
