Burglars struck at the constituency office of Sheffield Hallam MP Nick Clegg.

Laptop computers were among items stole from the Deputy Prime Minister ’s base on Nether Green Road, Nether Green.

Police are now appealing for information following the burglary on of Wednesday, March 28.

A spokesman for Mr Clegg stressed that no personal data was on the computers.

He said: “Unfortunately the constituency office was broken into overnight on the evening of Wednesday, March 28, and a small number of electrical items were taken.

“Anyone with any information should contact the police.

“We would like to reassure constituents the office is open and operating as usual. Any constituents’ data we hold is secure and none was stolen as a result of this incident.”
