Coffee, tea and cake are on the menu across South Yorkshire today as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
More than 3,000 people across the region have signed up to host their own events during a day of fundraising for the charity.
Thousands of cups and mugs will be clattering as people at schools, colleges hospitals and businesses enjoy a hot drink and a natter in the name of a good cause.
Children at Sheffield’s Woodseats Primary School kicked off the fundraising drive by throwing open the school’s doors a day before the nationwide event today. Youngsters prepared an assortment of mouth-watering cakes to sell off during their coffee morning.
The number of people taking part in World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in South Yorkshire this year has beat past records.
