An Occupational Therapist from South Yorkshire was named winner of the ‘Responsible Award,’ at the PROUD Awards 2015.
Clare Hutchinson, Community Occupational Therapist at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, spends her days assessing clients - of all ages and with a range of disabilities - for aids and adaptations to maintain their independence within their own homes.
PROUD judges said Clare embraces the opportunity to make a positive impact on her community and shows a real commitment to her work - something she should be commended for.
Clare said: “I am very proud to be a part of the Community Occupational Therapy Team.
“When faced with changes and challenges within the service, we work closely to adapt to these changes and maintain a high standard of work for our clients.
“I could not believe I had been nominated for an award, but being a responsible practitioner goes without saying. This is part of what makes you who you are and how you relate to your colleagues and clients. It is part of providing a good service.”
Sarah Jackson, Occupational Therapy Specialist Practitioner, who nominated Clare for the award, said: said: “This was really well deserved. I have learned so much from Claire and the whole team really appreciates the support Clare gives us.”
