Police and bus operators have been targeting fare evasion in Sheffield as part of a week of action.
Inspectors supported by special constables checked 362 buses, issuing 34 penalty tickets and seizing six forged bus tickets.
The operation took place as police investigate allegations of fare evasion after a man was arrested for possession of articles used in the manufacture of forged bus tickets. The man is currently on bail pending further enquiries.
The majority of the buses checked were operated by First, but a small number of Stagecoach buses were also involved. More than 6,500 passengers were spoken to in the Manor, Castlebeck, Wicker and Fir Vale areas.
Special constables conducted 27 stop searches during the operation, issued two fixed penalty tickets for drugs offences and ejected one passenger for drinking alcohol on a bus.
Inspectors also revoked eight mobility passes being used by other people, identified 107 non-payment ticket irregularities and issued 32 spot fines.
