City council leaders are out of their depth and should go

Have your say

When I read the letters in The Star criticising the council, I just can’t help wondering how Julie Dore, the late Jan Wilson and
other Sheffield Council leaders reached high office at the Town Hall.

They are so inept, out of touch and bang out of their depth for their insane decisions to demolish the Don Valley Stadium, for selling off the airport to developers etc and for wasting council tax payers’ money on crackpot projects like moving the market to the bottom of The Moor and renovating Park Hill flats.

I am a Labour supporter and I have stopped voting for them at council elections because of their incompetence.

Alice Tinker could run the city more efficiently than the people currently in charge.

Sheffield must be the laughing stock of the
UK.

Heads have got to roll at the Sheffield Labour Party NOW to replace them with wise-thinking councillors with vision, commonsense, planning and ideas.

They must be capable of taking this great city forward by restoring the city centre into a top shopping destination with more visitor attractions and
making Sheffield a more friendly place to attract businesses.
