Frenchgate Shopping Centre is asking customers to buy an extra gift this Christmas – and donate it to those in need.
The shopping centre has linked up with the Salvation Army to run the Christmas present appeal and is looking for new and unwrapped toys and gifts suitable for children, families, older people and the homeless and vulnerably housed.
Heidi Barlow, marketing manager at the centre, said: “We’re inviting customers to add an extra present to their shopping list so families struggling to buy gifts or those who have little or nothing can have a surprise under their Christmas tree this year.”
New unwrapped toys and gifts for people in need this Christmas can be dropped off at Frenchgate’s Customer Service desk on the First Floor between now and Friday 19 December.
The gifts will then be wrapped and distributed to those in need by the Salvation Army.
