Santa arrived early at a Sheffield sheltered housing scheme when each resident received one of 100 free festive parcels.
Old Parson Cross Tenants’ and Residents’ Association spread seasonal cheer with a festive food hamper for every resident aged over 60.
Cath Howson, treasurer at Old Parson Cross TARA, said: “We hope it makes a difference to older people in our community at Christmas time.”

Patients and staff produced handicrafts and baked goods, which were snapped up by visitors.
Volunteers from the Alzheimer’s Society held a raffle and sold refreshments from the Woodlands café.
A LIVE band will accompany Sheffield Cathedral Choir for carols in Paradise Square this Friday from noon.
The event, arranged by solicitors Graysons and Watson Esam, will raise money for the Special Care Baby Unit at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
