Choir links with brass
A CHOIR is teaming up with a brass band for a performance at a South Yorkshire church.
Bel Canto Choir in Mexborough will share the stage at St Margaret's Church in Swinton with brass ensemble The Brass Players on Saturday, November 15. Bel Canto will present Polovtsian Dances by Borodin and Bernstein's Chichester Psalms with supporting items.
Soloist in the Bernstein work will be counter-tenor Sam Hiller and accompanying Bel Canto will be Jonathan Gooing, while Jonathan and Claire Wheat will perform The Shepherd on the Rock by Schubert.
