Pupils at a Doncaster school have kickstarted their fitness regime thanks to a little help from Doncaster Rovers.
Children at Saltersgate Infant School were given a surprise assembly by Doncaster Rovers and Asda supermarket to provide special lessons on getting fighting fit.
Asda’s community life champion, Carolyn Halls, was joined by coaches from the club’s football in the community team to talk about healthy eating and an active lifestyles.
Julie Howe, headteacher at Saltersgate Infant School, said: “It’s extremely encouraging to see two organisations come together for the benefit of the younger generation in Doncaster and discuss such important topics. We’re delighted with what the children have taken away.”
