Chesterfield Hotel firm cheats dissolution

The company which operated Chesterfield Hotel has avoided the axe.

Companies House had warned GS Trading VI (Chesterfield) Ltd that it intended to dissolve the firm.

However, the Government agency has now dropped that threat after receiving the company’s confirmation statement, a legal document.

GS Trading VI (Chesterfield) Ltd is still listed as active even though the hotel shut in 2015.

As reported at the weekend, Steven Green - a Scottish businessman who founded GS Estates VI Ltd, the company which owned the large hotel building on Malkin Street - is currently behind bars for committing a 'deplorable episode of criminality'.

GS Estates VI Ltd is now in receivership and under the control of Eddisons Commercial Ltd, which put the Chesterfield Hotel building up for sale last year.
